Splashed out, and got a bottle of Diplomático 2004 Single Vintage, and now I feel like royalty. Might drink it from one of my goblets.

Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva - Venezuela, neat: too good for words. Cacao, caramel, molasses (but not overbearing). Honestly, if I could afford it (financially and physically), I'd drink this instead of water.

Diplomatico Blanco Reserve - Venezuela, neat. Hints of coconut and white fudge make this a great rum for those interested in white sweets. The label claims it is extra smooth, and they're not lying: it's smoother than good Russian vodka (which can actually be pretty smooth, if you haven't branched from the usual).

Diplomatico Mantuano - Venezuela, neat: another great Venezuelan, almost on par with the Exclusiva. An easy drinker, fruity, but not overbearingly so.

Pampero Anniversario Exclusiva - Venezuela, neat: bronze coloured liquid gold. It is soft and sweet, yet warm. Good for the rainy day that it is that I'm tasting it on. Has a nice toasted wood flavour, and the aftertaste doesn't linger too long.
